Triacetone Triperoxide or TATP, also known as "Mother of Satan", was named as the explosive used in the 2005 London Bombings, and was included as the trigger in the shoe bomb that was found on the December 2001 flight from Paris to Miami.
Ammonium Nitrate is a very strong oxidizing agent that makes an explosive mixture when combined with a fuel such as a hydrocarbon, usually Diesel fuel (oil) or, sometimes, kerosene. It has been known to be used for terrorist activities by the Provisional Irish Republican Army and in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.
